Sultanahmet Mosque
Also known as the Sultan Ahmet Mosque , this breathtaking structure is one of the most walkable Ottoman mosques in Turkey. The mosque, in keeping with classical Ottoman architecture, consists of a central dome followed by four semi-domes. Surrounded by a large courtyard in front, the mosque is flanked by six minarets. The interior is filled with Iznik tiles, predominantly in shades of blue, and floral motifs, giving the mosque its name.

Topkapi Palace
After a delicious lunch, our Istanbul Classical & Ottoman Heritage tour will continue with a visit to Topkapi Palace, where the Ottoman dynasty lived and the Ottoman Empire was ruled. Now a museum, the palace houses many cultural artifacts, including the Spoonmaker's Diamond , the sword and cloak of Prophet Muhammad.
